Design & Attitude
The Ariete coffee table Ø 50 × H 48 cm by Unopiù is designed as an architectural object for outdoor spaces. Designed by Adam D. Tihany, its design is based on the elementary form of the circle – a geometry that has always stood for balance and tranquility. In the Ariete series, this motif is not used ornamentally, but rather as a constructive element.
The curved iron lines create a delicate, almost graphic structure. They reference classic wrought ironwork and translate it into a contemporary design language. This makes the table appear both light and precise. With a diameter of 50 cm and a height of 48 cm, it has a compact, deliberately proportioned presence – enough space for daily use, without dominating the room.
In the bronze finish, the material develops a muted warmth. The color appears structural, not decorative. It emphasizes the lines and blends naturally into various architectural styles – from Mediterranean gardens to clean-cut city terraces. The table is not a loud solitaire, but a connecting element between seating furniture, flooring, and vegetation.
Material & Craftsmanship
Crafted from hot-dip galvanized, powder-coated iron, the Ariete coffee table is consistently designed for permanent outdoor use. Hot-dip galvanizing forms the constructive basis and reliably protects the metal from corrosion. It gives the furniture substance and longevity – regardless of seasonal weather influences.
The powder coating in bronze applied on top creates a uniform, matte surface with a pleasant feel. The iron remains palpable in its materiality, but does not appear raw. Rather, a controlled texture is created that softly reflects light and gives the table depth. Especially in combination with natural stone, wood decks, or mineral plasters, a harmonious dialogue of materials emerges.
The craftsmanship is evident in precise welds, clearly defined transitions, and a stable construction that ensures high stability despite its delicate appearance. In this model, Unopiù combines Italian design culture with technical meticulousness. The result is a coffee table that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also constructively well-thought-out.
With a diameter of 50 cm, the tabletop offers enough space for glasses, books, or a subtle lamp. The height of 48 cm corresponds to the classic lounge proportion and harmonizes with low outdoor sofas as well as armchairs from the same series. The dimensions are deliberately chosen: compact enough for smaller terraces, clear enough to function as an accent in spacious settings.
Spatial Impact & Areas of Use
The Ariete coffee table structures outdoor spaces with restraint. Its round shape promotes communicative seating arrangements and creates a soft center between linear furniture. Especially in combination with textile outdoor cushions, an exciting interplay of soft surfaces and clear metal structure is created.
In a private context, the model is suitable for:
- compact city balconies with thoughtful furnishing
- terraces with a lounge character
- garden areas that reinterpret classic iron furniture
- rooftop terraces with architectural aspirations
Even in commercial settings – such as boutique hotels, courtyards, or exclusive gastronomy concepts – the table looks natural. Its minimalist design allows it to be integrated into various stylistic worlds without being stylistically confined.
As part of the Ariete collection, the coffee table can be combined with sofas, armchairs, and chairs from the same series. This creates a consistent ensemble supported by the graphic iron structure. The collection offers the possibility of conceiving outdoor spaces as formally closed – from individual pieces of furniture to complete lounge landscapes.
Especially in minimalist architectures, the table reveals its strength: it creates a subtle contrast to clear concrete surfaces or large-format stone slabs. In lushly planted gardens, on the other hand, the dark bronze provides a calm background for green and floral tones. This versatility makes it a long-term usable element within sophisticated outdoor design concepts.
Consultation & Planning
In our showroom in Rostock, the Ariete coffee table can be experienced in direct interaction with other outdoor furniture. Proportion, color effect, and materiality reveal themselves there in a real context – in dialogue with light, textiles, and various floor coverings.
For builders, architects, and project developers, we also offer digital expert consultation. Upon request, we integrate the model into a superordinate design concept for terraces, gardens, or rooftops. In conjunction with our expertise in landscape architecture, outdoor spaces are created that understand furniture, architecture, and vegetation as a single unit.
The Unopiù Ariete coffee table Ø 50 × H 48 cm is therefore not merely a functional piece of furniture. It represents an attitude that understands design as a long-term decision. The combination of well-thought-out construction, durable material, and timeless design makes it an investment in longevity – precise in expression and durable in use.
