Design & Posture
The Ariete Bench by Unopiù translates classic iron furniture into a contemporary design language. Designed by Adam D. Tihany, its design is based on the calm power of the circle – a motif that is reflected in the characteristic lines of the backrest and gives the bench its graphic identity.

Seat cushion: without seat cushion, with seat cushion in white (Nuvola)
With a width of 127 cm, a depth of 60 cm and an overall height of 89 cm, it possesses a balanced, architectural proportion. The seat height of 47 cm ensures a comfortable, upright posture and makes it suitable for both private gardens and representative outdoor areas. The curved metal lines do not appear decorative in the traditional sense, but constructively thought out – they support, structure and define the space.
In the color bronze, the iron develops a muted warmth. The tone appears calm and structural, not ornamental. This allows the Ariete Bench to integrate naturally into various architectural contexts – from Mediterranean garden designs to clear city terraces with a reduced design language.
Material & Workmanship
Made of hot-dip galvanized, powder-coated iron, the Ariete Bench is consistently designed for permanent outdoor use. The hot-dip galvanizing protects the metal from corrosion in the long term and creates the constructive basis for stability and durability. The subsequent powder coating in bronze gives the surface a uniform, matte texture with a pleasant feel.
The craftsmanship is evident in precise welds, clearly defined transitions, and a stable construction that offers high stability despite its delicate lines. The iron remains palpable in its materiality, yet appears controlled and finely crafted.
The bench is complemented by an optional white seat cushion. The cover, made of 100% acrylic, is removable and designed for outdoor use. The cushion softens the visual austerity of the metal and adds a textile softness, without obscuring the character of the construction. This interplay creates a balanced relationship between structure and comfort.
Spatial Effect & Areas of Application
The Ariete Bench is suitable for a variety of outdoor spaces – as a solitaire along a house wall, as part of a seating group, or as a connecting element between a terrace and a garden. Its clear lines support both symmetrical layouts and organically grown garden situations.
- as a seating bench on terraces with architectural aspirations
- in the entrance areas of city villas or country houses
- in courtyards of boutique hotels
- as a complementary element within the Ariete Collection
- in combination with natural stone, wooden decks, or mineral floor coverings
When used with cushions, the bench appears inviting and comfort-oriented. Without textile additions, it remains clear and graphic. This versatility makes it a long-term design element – regardless of trends or seasonal accents.
