• packaging instructions: Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from accumulating between the packaging and the product. This may cause uneven rust spots.
• formation of rust layer: The products come without a layer of rust. The rusting process on Corten steel takes about 4-5 months, depending on the weather conditions.
• Remove rust:Rust can be removed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects and prevents the Corten steel from discolouring.
• rust water: During the rusting process, rust water may be released from the product.
• pH value of water:The pH value of the water should be neutral (7) so that the material is not attacked.
• cleaning: Clean the product annually by spraying off coarse dirt with tap water.

use in winter

• Always unplug the appliance when it is freezing.
• Lower the water level to at least 10 cm below the edge.
• We recommend an ice-preventing device (available in any garden center or hardware store).
• The pump can remain in the water if the above conditions are met. Of course, you can also take the pump out of the water and leave it in a frost-free place over the winter.
