Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Adan Nano planter suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, in the matte version – the planter is weather-resistant and intended for outdoor use. The lacquered version is intended exclusively for indoor use.
Can I place the illuminated Adan Nano outside?
There is an important restriction here: The planter itself is weather-resistant in the matte version. However, the lighting of the Nano models is rated IP20 and, according to the manufacturer, is approved exclusively for indoor use – unlike the larger models, whose LEDs are protected to IP65. If you are looking for an illuminated planter for outdoors, please choose a larger model.
Which color can be illuminated?
Only in the color ice, and only in the matte version. The body is translucent there – with all other colors and in the lacquered version, no lighting is possible.
What are the specifications of the lighting of the Nano models?
Warm white LED with 3000 Kelvin, 40 lumens, 1.4 watts. The connection is via a 1.5 m long white cable with a manual switch and EU plug. Protection rating IP20, designed for up to 35 °C – expressly approved by the manufacturer exclusively for indoor use. CE and RoHS certified.
What characterizes the shape of the Adan series?
Adan is faceted like a cut diamond. The edges catch the light differently, which makes the planter look different depending on the time of day – as if it were carved from a block instead of cast.
Who designed it?
By Teresa Sapey, the Italian architect and interior designer, for Vondom. In addition to the Nano planters, the Adan series includes other sizes in the same faceted design language.
