The Unopiù Salento electric – Awning parasol with motor drive for maximum comfort.
The Salento electric by Unopiù combines the proven awning parasol construction of the series with the convenience of motorized operation. The retractable awning extends or retracts silently via remote control – without getting up, without a hand crank. For patios where comfort is non-negotiable.
The frame made of galvanized aluminum and iroko slatted wood, the aluminum arms of the awning, and the 100% Tempotest acrylic fabric are identical to the hand-crank model. Natural colors for the bronze-colored umbrella, white for the white model – the cover is designed for long outdoor use. A manual hand crank is also available as a backup.
The awning is wind-stable up to 45 km/h, and the adjustable tilt is 5–20 degrees. The high dead weight of 135 kg ensures natural stability; optionally, 10 concrete aggregate slabs (50×50 cm, approx. 18 kg each) can be used as additional weighting or ground anchors for permanent fastening.
The Salento electric is part of the entire parasol assortment at Garten-Stuhl and the Unopiù range. The matching parasol accessories, including concrete aggregate slabs, can be selected directly as a variant.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Unopiù Salento Electric
What is the difference to the Salento with hand crank?
The electric model has a motor with a remote control that extends the awning at the touch of a button. A manual hand crank is also available as a backup. Dimensions, materials, and options are identical to the hand-crank model – the price is approx. €550–560 higher.
Can the electric Salento also be operated manually?
Yes. The motor is the primary mode of operation, but a manual hand crank is available as a backup option in case there is no power supply or a defect has occurred.
What wind speed can the Salento withstand?
The awning is wind-stable up to 45 km/h. At higher wind speeds, the awning should be retracted. The umbrella itself is very stable due to its dead weight of 135 kg.
How is the electric Salento powered?
The motor of the electric Salento is powered by an electrical connection. Please ensure when planning that a suitable outdoor outlet is available near the installation site. Please inquire about exact cable specifications when purchasing.
