The Unopiù Cosette Teak Folding Lounger is a folding lounger made of teak wood and stainless steel from the Cosette collection. It is foldable and adjustable in three positions, with a generous seat width. Cosette is a lightweight, versatile series in which the warmth of teak wood meets the practicality of technical fabric; it was designed by the design duo Andreucci & Hoisl.

Seat height 26 cm: a matter of posture

The dimensions are W 67 × D 99 × H 104 cm, seat height 26 cm. This seat height is the real difference from a chair at the dining table: the knees are higher than the hips, the back seeks the backrest, and getting up becomes a conscious movement. Together with the 99 cm depth, it creates a place you can occupy for a long time — reading, dozing, an afternoon without an appointment. The three positions adjust the angle between more upright sitting and flat lying, so that the position of the sun and the time of day can be balanced without changing location. Whether as a wooden lounger in the garden or as a garden chaise longue by the pool, it remains the same quiet piece.

The wood and its surface

For the frame, Unopiù uses Grade A teak, the highest grade, and from this, the middle part of the trunk respectively — a choice aimed at dimensional stability and long durability. Mineral salts and oils are naturally in the wood, it withstands sun, rain, and salt and is naturally resistant to pests. None of it is treated: the surface leaves the factory untreated. Different shades from slat to slat are part of this, as are fine surface cracks — they stand out more or less with temperature and humidity and are not a defect. Outdoors, a silver-gray patina settles over it with the months, which does nothing to its load-bearing capacity; the manufacturer's care products bring back the honey-colored initial tone. Storage, care and ordering data

When folded, it becomes a flat disc that can be placed against a wall or in the equipment room — practical at the end of the season. The shipping weight is 14 kg (shipping weight including packaging). According to the manufacturer, place the lounger outdoors for 48 hours before the first use, but at least 24: The fibers become active again and push the natural oil to the outside, which the storage has left. A damp wiping cloth made of cotton or jute absorbs it. The model is listed under the item number SDCOST.
