The Vela Nano planter 18x28 cm belongs to the Vela series, which Ramón Esteve designed for Vondom. Vela is a modular system of prismatic, clearly proportioned volumes; in a small format, the Nano translates the series' floating form concept into a delicate, sculptural object.

Made in Europe from rotationally molded polyethylene (LLDPE), solid-colored, UV-resistant and weather-resistant; the frame is made of aluminum. Dimensions: W 18 × D 18 × H 28 cm. For outdoor use, drainage is required.

Is the Vela Nano planter suitable for outdoor use?
In the matt version, yes – the planter is weatherproof and intended for outdoor use. The lacquered version is intended for indoor use only. Drainage is required for outdoor use.

Can I put the illuminated Vela Nano outside?
An important restriction applies here: the planter itself is weatherproof in the matt version. However, the lighting of the Nano models is rated IP20 and, according to the manufacturer, approved for indoor use only – unlike the larger models, whose LED is protected to IP65. If you are looking for an illuminated planter for outdoors, please choose a larger model in the series.

Which colour is illuminated?
The colour ice. With Vela, the lighting is not a separate option but part of this colour – the body is translucent there. All other colours are unlit.

What does the lighting of the Nano models offer?
Warm white LED at 3000 Kelvin, 40 lumens, 1.4 watts. It connects via a 1.5 m white cable with hand switch and EU plug. Protection rating IP20, rated up to 35 °C – expressly approved by the manufacturer for indoor use only. CE and RoHS certified.
