VELA is a modulated system with an elementary prismatic geometry that derives its uniqueness from the balance of its proportions. The elements can be combined with each other to integrate into any space. Their precise volumes create the illusion of floating a few centimeters above the ground and, when illuminated, they transform into suspended architectures.

Is the Vela stool 100cm suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, the matte version is – it is weather-resistant and intended for outdoor use. The lacquered version is intended exclusively for indoor use.

Which color can be illuminated?
Only in the color ice, and only in the matte version. The body is translucent there – with all other colors and in the lacquered version, no lighting is possible.

What does the lighting provide?
Both variants operate with RGB LEDs (3 shades of white + 9 colors) and a battery – completely without cables. The LED technology is protected to IP65 and is therefore approved for wet areas, designed for ambient temperatures up to 40 °C. The battery variant without Wi-Fi comes with a radio remote control (RF433, 10–15 m range). CE, RoHS and UL certified.

How long does the battery last?
The Li-ion battery (12 V) lasts 6 to 8 hours depending on the model. The charging time is around 5 hours, the battery is designed for approximately 500 charge cycles; the charger is included in the delivery. The battery variant is also protected to IP65.

What do I need for the Wi-Fi control?
The Wi-Fi variants operate with a DMX-1024 decoder via a 2.4-GHz radio signal. This allows several lights to be controlled simultaneously. Important: The controller itself is not included – optionally as a home Wi-Fi controller (compatible with iOS and Android) or as a professional DMX controller with an XLR connection.

Which cushions are available?
Three fabric categories are available: 1A and 1B, 1C as well as 2 – they differ in material and price. Clean the covers according to the fabric category and store them as dry and protected as possible if the furniture is outside for longer; the body itself is simply wiped with water and mild cleaner.
