Beschreibung

Plumon basiert auf dem Kleidungskonzept, dem Bekleiden und Entkleiden von Möbeln.

Unter Anwendung dieses Ansatzes aus dem Schneiderhandwerk entwirft Patricia Urquiola eine neue Möbelfamilie mit Anklängen an die typisch brasilianische Haltung, die in üppigem, großzügigem und bequemem Mobiliar ihren Ausdruck findet und in gewisser Weise an entfernte Landschaften und Kulturen erinnert.

Für Plumon entwirft Urquiola ein leichtes Gerüst, auf der ein maßgeschneidertes, gepolstertes Kleid als Umwicklung „vertäut“ wird. Diese durch Nähte gekennzeichnete, gerippte Polsterung ist einerseits ein ästhetisches Merkmal und trägt andererseits zum Komfort des Produktes bei. Die Passform ist der Schlüssel zur Ästhetik. Mit einigen wenigen, einfachen Handgriffen wird das Kleid auf dem starren Teakholz-Gerüst angebracht und umarmt dieses. Eine extreme Benutzerfreundlichkeit, die ein echtes Plus für eine Outdoor-Kollektion darstellt.

Durch das gepolsterte Kleid, das auch die Armlehnen und die Außenseite der Rückenlehne großzügig umfasst, wird die Bequemlichkeit auch visuell hervorgehoben.

Plumon is based on the concept of clothing, dressing and undressing furniture.

Applying this tailoring approach, Patricia Urquiola designs a new family of furniture with echoes of the typical Brazilian attitude, expressed in lush, spacious and comfortable furniture, in a way reminiscent of distant landscapes and cultures.

For Plumon, Urquiola designs a light framework on which a tailor-made, padded dress is “moored” as a wrap. This ribbed padding, characterized by seams, is on the one hand an aesthetic feature and on the other hand contributes to the comfort of the product. Fit is key to aesthetics. With just a few simple steps, the dress is attached to the rigid teak frame and hugs it. Extreme ease of use, which is a real plus for an outdoor collection.

The padded dress, which also generously covers the armrests and the outside of the backrest, also visually emphasizes comfort.
