While the first Costuras stools were designed for individual use, the new Twins versions offer larger sizes that can comfortably seat two people. This latest design was developed to encourage social interaction, while retaining the signature oversized and eye-catching seams along the edges. Its forms arise from the intersection of two geometric shapes, either square or round – a visual reference to both the bond often shared by twins and the beauty of their distinct personalities.

The Costuras Twins collection springs from a realm of creativity and playfulness, departing from the conventions within which designer Teresa Sapey usually works. Fascinated by the whimsical personality and surrealism of Lewis Carroll's Alice stories, the Costuras Twins cushions have found their alter egos in the twins Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
