·Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from accumulating between the packaging and the product. This can lead to uneven rust spots.

·Ensure good drainage

·Includes support feet and drainage holes. This ensures that the planter is slightly above the ground (15 mm) and has optimal drainage.

·Do not use an overflow pipe; no excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The combination of oxygen and soil could then cause the material to rust through.

·Do not use hydro pellets: they retain moisture.

·The products come without a layer of rust. The rusting process on Corten steel takes about 4-5 months, depending on the weather conditions. With our rust accelerator, you can let the planters rust faster.

·During the rusting process, rust water can be released from the product.

·Rust can be removed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective layer against rust. Owatrol protects the planter and prevents the Corten steel from discolouring.

·We advise against using Corten steel within 2 km of the coast.

·Cover the bottom with a layer of Ø35 mm pebbles (approx. 10 cm).

·Place a permeable anti-root cloth over the pebbles.

·Cover the anti-root cloth with soil suitable for your desired type of planting.
