Important instructions:
- Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to prevent moisture from accumulating between the packaging and the product. This can lead to uneven rust spots.
- Ensure good drainage
- Includes support feet (15 mm) and drainage holes. This ensures that the planter is slightly above the ground and has optimal drainage.
- Do not use an overflow pipe; no excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The combination of oxygen and soil could then cause the material to rust through.
- Do not use hydro pellets: they retain moisture.
- The products come without a layer of rust. The rusting process on Corten steel takes about 4-5 months, depending on the weather conditions. With our rust accelerator, you can let the planters rust faster.
- We advise against using Corten steel within 2 km of the coast.
- During the rusting process, rust water can be released from the product.
planting tips
- Cover the bottom with a layer of Ø35 mm pebbles (approx. 10 cm).
- Place a permeable anti-root cloth over the pebbles.
- Cover the anti-root cloth with soil suitable for your desired type of planting.
- Do not use Overflow pipe; no excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The combination of oxygen and soil could then cause the material to rust through.
