- Ensure good drainage
- Includes support feet (15 mm) and drainage holes. This ensures the planter is slightly elevated above the ground and has optimal drainage.
- Do not use an overflow pipe; no excess water should remain in the Corten steel planter. The combination of oxygen and soil could cause the material to rust through.
- Do not use hydro-pellets: they retain moisture.
- The products arrive without a rust layer. The rusting process on Corten steel takes about 4-5 months, depending on weather conditions. You can accelerate the rusting process of the planters with our rust accelerator.
- We advise against using Corten steel within a 2 km radius of the coast.
- During the rusting process, rust-colored water may run off the product.
