Four designs under our own name
In addition to the manufacturers we carry, there are a small number of pieces of furniture under our own brand: a dining table that can be extended from everyday size to a large table, a chair to match that can be stacked, the two together – and a table whose top is conceived differently from all others.
Approach
Fewer choices, more conviction
We understand outdoor spaces as an architectural extension of the home – not as a furnished area, but as a designed living space with its own proportions and materiality. What we carry must have constructive substance, be design-consistent and last a long time. More on this can be found under Studio for curated outdoor spaces.
The same standard applies to our own furniture. It is not intended to fill a gap in the range, but to solve a task that we repeatedly encountered in our consultations.
Materials & craftsmanship
Teak, aluminum and Corian
The three teak pieces of furniture are made of solid, plantation-grown teak, botanically Tectona grandis. The wood is SVLK-certified and thus comes from demonstrably legal Indonesian forestry. It is naturally oiled and suitable for outdoor use all year round; left untreated, it turns gray to a silvery patina, which is not a defect, but a property of the material. Those who wish to preserve the warm golden tone re-oil it once a year – how to do this is explained in the guide Proper teak wood care.
The TQ150 follows a different logic. Its frame is made of aluminum, the top combines Corian with teak, and the inserts in the middle can be moved; additional insert boards are included. On 149 by 149 centimeters, eight people can sit without anyone having to squeeze in.
In the outdoor space
Dimensions that define the space
The Teak-Ausziehtisch 180/240 cm measures 180 by 100 centimeters when closed, at a height of 75 centimeters, and weighs around 65 kilograms. With an insert top, it grows to 240 centimeters; thus it covers everyday use for six as well as the evening for ten. A central umbrella hole accommodates an umbrella pole, so that the shade covers the entire table. However, it must be assembled yourself.
The Teak-Stapel-Essstuhl mit Armlehnen measures 58 by 61 by 91 centimeters, sits at a height of 44 centimeters, and weighs nine kilograms – light enough to move, heavy enough to stand in the wind. It comes without assembly, can be stacked, and optionally with a blue seat cushion. Those who plan both together will find the table with six chairs in the Teak-Essgruppe.
